Volleyball Concludes Road Stand at Le Moyne

Bearcats finish up 10-match roadtrip against the Dolphins Tuesday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Volleyball (8-5) is set to face Le Moyne (1-8) on the road this Tuesday, Sept. 24, on Ted Grant Court. First serve is slated for 6 p.m. 

The match will be broadcast on NEC Front Row and can be followed via live stats here at binghamtonbearcats.com. 

Last time out, the Bearcats fell to Big 12 opponent West Virginia, 3-2, at Fordham's Rose Hill Classic, Sept. 22. Despite the loss, Binghamton registered a season-high 81 points, 64 kills and 172 attack attempts against the Mountaineers. Three Bearcats in Tsvetelina Ilieva, Ella Schabort and Viktoria Dimitrova, posted double-digit kills in the contest. 

Ilieva matched her career-high with 27 kills vs WVU, her second match this season with 20 or more kills after recording 20 vs. Hofstra, Sept. 11. Schabort notched 11 kills and 14 digs against the Mountaineers for her second double-double of the season, her first coming in the 3-2 win over Boston College, Sept. 7. Lottie Scully also recorded a season-high 37 assists in the match, her third contest this fall with 30 or more assists.

As a team, Binghamton leads the America East with 16.97 points per set and a  .239 attack percentage. The Bearcats also rank second in the league with 12.57 kills per set, 11.43 assists per set, 2.48 blocks per set and 1.91 service aces per set. 

Ilieva owns the America East's top spot with 4.10 kills per set and 4.85 points per set while Misa Dlouha leads the conference with 1.46 blocks per set. Dlouha ranks fourth in the nation with 70 total blocks while her blocks per set total is 16th. Ilieva's 233 point total ranks fifth nationwide and her 197 total kills sits in seventh. 

Binghamton leads the series with Le Moyne 4-1 since 1998, and have won the last three matchups. The Bearcats swept the Dolphins 3-0, Sept. 5, 2023 and Sept. 6, 2000, in the previous two contests, both in Vestal. 

Next up, Binghamton returns home to begin America East play against UAlbany, Friday, Sept. 27. Match time is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside the Events Center.
