Luke named America East Offensive Player of Week

Junior forward netted two goals in 1-0-1 week; took over as points leader in conference

VESTAL, N.Y., - Binghamton women's soccer junior forward Paige Luke has been named America East Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday afternoon. It's the first weekly honor this year for Luke and the fifth different Bearcat to earn a weekly honor.

Luke scored two goals in the two games to move into first place in the conference in points per game (1.2). She headed in both goals in the second half of Binghamton's 3-0 win over UAlbany on Thursday. Luke already leads the league in assists (6) and now has a team-high 18 points (6 goals, 6 assists). 

Previous Binghamton weekly winners are Megan Baker (Offensive, Sept. 29), Anna Buckwalter (Offensive, Sept. 22), Rebecca Kessler (Defensive, Sept. 15) and Jahkaya Davis (Offensive Player, Sept. 2).
