BUFFALO, N.Y. - Binghamton women's tennis squared off against longtime SUNY foe Buffalo and fellow NEC member Sunday at Miller Tennis Center.

Despite coming up short against both opponents, the Bearcats flashed their strength at the top of the lineup with wins at No. 1 and 2 against Saint Francis and a tight match at No. 1 against the Bulls.

Senior Loren Cuomo posted an exciting 7-5, 4-6, 14-12 win over Saint Francis at No. 1 and freshman No. 2 Angel Walia won 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 to spark the Bearcats in the second match of the day. Cuomo shook off several match points before pulling out the super tiebreak. Walia rallied from a set down to earn her victory, also in a super tiebreak. Walia also pushed her Buffalo opponent to a super tiebreak at No. 1 before falling. 

The Bearcats close their fall season by hosting the NateRentals.com Hidden Duals this weekend at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center.
