VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton volleyball team (8-11, 3-2 America East) takes the road to face off against New Haven (2-16, 1-8 NEC) on Wednesday, October 22 at 6 p.m., in the Bearcats' last non-conference match of the season.

LAST TIME OUT
Binghamton beat America East opponent New Hampshire in a thrilling five-set match 3-2 to improve to 3-2 in the conference. Three Bearcats reached double digits in kills and digs, while Alexandra Koleva provided a team-high 25 assists in the win.
CRONKHITE EARNS DPOW HONORS
The America East Conference announced on Tuesday that Emily Cronkhite was named Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against New Hampshire this past Friday. The senior from Metamora, Ill. provided a team-high 25 digs, averaging five digs per set and chipped in six assists in the victory over the Wildcats. She currently leads the league in digs per set (5.05) against conference opponents.
NEW CAREER BEST
With 16 kills against UNH, Merima Smajlovic set a new season-high with 252 kills in 72 sets played thus far. Her previous best was during her time at Seattle University, where she had 243 kills in 97 sets played. The outside hitter currently ranks third in the conference in kills, averaging 3.50 a set.
DOUBLE THE TROUBLE
Smajlovic and Koleva each recorded a double-double in the victory over New Hampshire. Smajlovic earned her 11th of the season with 16 kills and 14 digs, while Koleva notched her eighth of the year with 25 assists and 14 digs.
