Men’s Soccer Loses 4-0 at UMBC

Retrievers break match open with three second-half goals

BALTIMORE, Md. – Brady Geho scored twice and Branden Johns tallied a pair of assists, lifting UMBC (6-6-3, 2-3-1 AE) to a 4-0 win over Binghamton (4-12-0, 0-6-0 AE) in an America East men's soccer match on Friday night at Retriever Athletic Park. The match marked the Bearcats' final regular-season road contest of the year.

Johns assisted on the first two UMBC goals. Yigit Kilic put the Retrievers up 1-0 in the 29th minute and Ricky Shissler doubled the lead in the 56th minute.

Geho then finished the scoring with goals in the 77th and 84th minutes respectively.

UMBC held a 14-7 advantage in total shots as well as a 6-0 cushion in shots on goal.

Redshirt junior goalkeeper Jack Root made a pair of saves for the Bearcats.

Binghamton concludes its regular season on Tuesday against Vermont at 6:07 p.m.
