Women’s Basketball Travels to Columbia

Bearcats and Lions Square Off Monday at 7 p.m. on SNY

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-2) won 95-94 in double overtime at Akron on Thursday evening. Junior guard Bella Pucci poured in a game-high and career-best 29 points while junior forward Kendall Bennett finished with a career-high 19 points and season-best 14 rebounds. The Bearcats trailed by as many as 14 points before storming back for the victory.

- Pucci leads the Bearcats and ranks fourth in the America East with 18.0 points per game. Bennett ranked fourth in the conference with 8.0 rebounds per game and second on the Bearcats with 12.2 points per night. Junior guard Kaia Goode is fifth in the America East with 2.2 assists per game while senior guard Meghan Casey is second in the conference with 2.6 steals per game.

- Columbia (2-2) lost to visiting St. Joseph's (Pa.) 66-48 last Thursday. Susie Rafiu led three Lion players in double figures with 14 points. Perri Page added 12 points while Riley Weiss finished with 10 points.

- Weiss leads Columbia with 17.8 points per game while Page is first with 6.8 rebounds per night. Fliss Henderson, meanwhile, is dishing out 5.0 assists per game and recording 2.7 steals per contest.

- Columbia leads the all-time series 5-1, having won the past four meetings. Most recently, the Lions won 75-65 at home on Dec. 10, 2016. The Bearcats' lone victory in the series was a 78-34 decision back on Jan. 6, 2001 at the West Gym - Binghamton's home court before 2004.
