Bearcats and Highlanders Tip Off Saturday at 2 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Sophomore guard Bella Pucci powered Binghamton to a 58-48 home victory over UMBC on Thursday night, recording 17 points, seven rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal. Sophomore guard Meghan Casey posted a season-high eight points, while sophomore forward Kendall Bennett made her presence felt defensively with a career-high four blocks, adding seven rebounds and also scoring four points. 

- Redshirt junior guard Jadyn Weltz ranks third in the America East in steals, averaging 1.9 thefts per game, and sits seventh in assists with 2.8 per game. Pucci also holds the seventh spot in the conference in rebounding, averaging 5.8 boards per game.

- Binghamton leads the conference in steals, averaging 8.5 per game. The Bearcats also rank second in the conference with 35.1 rebounds per game. Additionally, they sit fourth in both scoring offense (60.2 ppg) and scoring defense (58.3 ppg).

- NJIT (10-15, 7-5 AE) secured a 64-53 home victory over Bryant on Thursday evening. Alejandra Zuniga led the Highlanders with a game-high 21 points, six assists and four rebounds. Enya Maguire contributed 14 points and five rebounds while Trinity Williams added 12 points, five rebounds and a block.

- Zuniga ranks third in the America East in both scoring (17.3 ppg.) and assists (3.5 apg.). Trinity Williams, meanwhile, leads NJIT in both rebounding (5.9 rpg.) and blocks (1.5 bpg.).

- As a team, NJIT leads the conference in blocks (4.4 bpg.) and scoring offense (65.0 ppg.). The Highlanders also are third in rebounding, averaging 34.9 boards per game.

- Binghamton and NJIT are tied at 6-6 in the all-time series. Earlier this season, the Bearcats lost 58-49 on the road on Jan. 2. Sophomore guard Yanniah Boyd led Binghamton with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block.
