Bearcats win five singles matches to claim first home victory of 2025

Box Score BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Tennis (2-4, 0-4) picked up its first home victory this spring over Ithaca (1-1, 0-1), 5-2, Friday afternoon inside the Lane-Starke Tennis Center 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Ithaca claimed the doubles point with wins in the first and third slots to gain an early 1-0 lead. 

Named an NEC Prime Performer earlier this week, Samantha Jaros earned her third straight victory at fourth singles to even the score at one apiece. Kayla Castellano and Nitya Vyas recorded two more dominant wins in the sixth and fifth spots, respectively, to give Binghamton a 3-1 advantage. 

Clara Arbeloa Lopez secured the team victory with a 6-0, 6-4 performance at third singles. Loren Cuomo added the Bearcats last win at No. 1 singles to clinch a 5-2 victory for the Bearcats.
