Women’s Tennis Overcomes Providence, 4-3

Down 3-1, Bearcats win final three singles matches to win second consecutive contest

Box Score WARWICK, R.I. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Tennis (6-8, 1-4) overcame a 3-1 deficit to defeat Providence (2-9, 0-2), 4-3, Sunday afternoon inside Tri West Bay. 

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Providence picked up wins in the top two doubles slots to establish an early 1-0 lead. 

The Friars opened individual action with a win at No. 4 singles before Loren Cuomo notched a dominant win in the top spot to cut down the home team's edge, 2-1. Providence doubled its  advantage next after another victory at fifth singles. 

Down 3-1, Kayla Castellano, Samantha Jaros and Caterina Casadei secured wins in their respective singles spots to give Binghamton its second consecutive win, 4-3. Casadei overcame the Friars' Camila Barrera Aguirre, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2, to clinch the third match for Binghamton in two weeks.
