About Binghamton
- The Bearcats enter Saturday's contest having won their last four games, wiping out an 0-4 start to the season in the process. Binghamton's latest triumph came on Tuesday when the Bearcats defeated St. Bonaventure 6-5 in overtime. Gavin Jacobsen tallied his second and final goal of the game with nine seconds left in overtime to help the Bearcats defeat their in-state foe.
- Binghamton has recorded winning streaks of at least four games in each of its last three seasons. Binghamton previously won four games in a row from March 11 through April 1 in 2023, and then again from March 23 through April 13 of 2024.
- Jacobsen has emerged as a goal-scoring threat for the Bearcats over the past week. The junior has scored a combined three goals in his last two games after entering that stretch with two goals for his collegiate career.
- Connor Winters continues to inch closer to a couple of program records held by Binghamton Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Kevin McKeown. Binghamton's win over St. Bonaventure was the 19th victory of the goalie's career. He needs five more to tie McKeown's record of 24. Additionally, with his season-high 17 saves against the Bonnies, Winters is up to 444 for his career. To tie McKeown's record of 509, Winters needs to make 65 more saves.
- As the season has progressed, the Bearcats have shown that one of their strengths is stopping their opponents on clear attempts. Binghamton goes into Saturday's game with its opponents having a clearing percentage of .801, the 13th-lowest percentage in the country.
- Binghamton is looking for its first win over a ranked opponent since Feb. 20, 2010, when the Bearcats defeated No. 20 Colgate 7-6 to open the season.
