Women’s Lacrosse Upended by Campbell, 16-13

Blloshmi posts five goals for back-to-back six point games

VESTAL, N.Y. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Binghamton Women's Lacrosse (2-4) fell to Campbell (2-3), 16-13, Wednesday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED 
Emma Blloshmi got the Bearcats on the board with a free position goal in the first minute of play to lead 1-0. Campbell notched three consecutive scores next and held Binghamton to zero goals to end the quarter up 3-1.

Blloshmi struck first for the Bearcats once again in the second frame to cut the Camels' advantage to one before Campbell recorded back-to-back goals to go up 5-2. Olivia Muscolino scored the first of Binghamton's next four consecutive goals to retake a 6-5 lead. 

Campbell recorded a goal late in the second quarter to even the contest at six until Anthea Hayslip and Carla Curth found the back of the net in the final 30 seconds of play for Binghamton. The Bearcats led the Camels 8-6 heading into halftime. 

Campbell registered three quick scores coming out of the locker room to jump ahead, 9-8. Sienna Fox and Marisa Tancredi netted goals next to give Binghamton back a 10-9 edge. The Camels closed out the third and opened the fourth quarter on a 6-0 run to lead 15-10. 

Blloshmi, Hayslip and Curth notched three goals in the final six minutes of play to trim Campbell's edge to two, 15-13, but the Camels scored once more to claim a 16-13 victory. 

GAME NOTES
  • Emma Blloshmi recorded five goals and one assist against Campbell to register back-to-back six point contests for Binghamton. Blloshmi posted a career-high six goals in the team's last contest at Marist, March 1. She has tallied a hat trick or better in each of the Bearcats' six games this season. 
  • Blloshmi converted on both of her free position attempts today to lead the Bearcats with 11 free position goals this season. The junior ranks second in the nation with 1.83 free position goals per game behind No. 3 Northwestern's Madison Taylor with 2.33. 
  • Carla Curth posted her first hat trick of 2025 against Campbell, the fourth of her career. The junior scored three times on four shots this afternoon. 
  • Marisa Tancredi scored her first goal in 668 days for the Bearcats this afternoon after she was sidelined with an injury before the 2024 season. The senior found the back of the net off an assist from Olivia Muscolino in the third quarter. 
  • Anthea Hayslip chipped in her second, two-goal performance of the season over the Camels. Hayslip recorded two scores in the Bearcats season opener against Colgate, Feb. 12. 
  • Jess Robinson notched a season-high three assists vs. Campbell. Robinson tallied a career-best four assists last season against Youngstown State, April 6, 2024.  
  • Mckenna Kobler tallied a season-high seven draw controls this afternoon. The junior picked up four draws at St. Bonaventure, Feb. 25. 
  • The Bearcats registered a season-best 20 points, 13 goals and seven assists against Campbell.
