Men seventh, women’s eighth in three-day meet

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Graduate student Marcus Johnson won the men's 400 hurdles and senior Jennifer Mui captured the women's 3,000 steeplechase (SC), highlighting Binghamton's performance at the Colonial Outdoor Track & Field Relays, which were hosted by William & Mary and concluded on Saturday. The Bearat men placed seventh out of 33 scoring teams in the three-day meet while the women were eighth out of 30 squads.

Johnson and Mui picked up where they left off during the previous outdoor season. Johnson, who won the 2024 America East title and advanced to the NCAA Regional Meet, clocked a first-place time of 50.98 this past weekend. Mui, meanwhile, is the defending conference 3,000 SC champion, and recorded a winning time of 10:37.05 at William & Mary.

Johnson went on to place second in the triple jump this weekend (47-7 ¾). It is an event he won during the recent America East indoor championships. Also recording a runner-up finish on the men's team was sophomore Liam Cody in the 1,500 (3:55.54).

Elsewhere on the men's side, sophomore Brennan Delany was fourth in the 100 hurdles (14.60) and fellow sophomore Putu Sutayasa was fifth in the long jump (23-2 ¼).

Graduate student Gianna Hoose was second in the women's hammer (161-6 ¾) while junior Sydney Leitner was fourth in the 5,000 (17:07.09).
