Arbeloa Lopez Named to NEC All-Rookie Team

Freshman picks up sole postseason honor for Women’s Tennis

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. (binghamtonbearcats.com) - Clara Arbeloa Lopez earned Binghamton Women's Tennis' sole postseason honor with an All-Rookie selection, the conference announced Friday morning.

Arbeloa Lopez recorded 17 wins in both singles and doubles across the fall and spring seasons. The freshman played in 25 matches for the Bearcats in the top doubles position with teammate Caterina Casadei, collecting 10 overall wins and three in conference play.

Arbeloa Lopez competed in 21 contests for the Bearcats in the first three singles spots. She finished off her rookie season with a 6-1, first doubles win over Saint Francis in the first round of the NEC Championship.
