VESTAL, N.Y. – Both
Colin DeLay and
Nolan Sharkey have been selected to the America East Conference's All-Tournament Team, the league announced Saturday following the conclusion of its tournament.
Both players were instrumental in helping the Binghamton men's lacrosse team go toe to toe with No. 1 seed Bryant in the semifinals of the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship on Thursday. DeLay scored three goals in the second half for his first collegiate hat trick. Meanwhile, Sharkey scored one goal and collected two ground balls, ultimately helping the Bearcats limit the Bulldogs to only two goals in the second half. Their efforts assisted Binghamton in coming back from a four-goal deficit in the second quarter and send the semifinal into overtime. Bryant would ultimately win 10-9 to advance to the championship game.
Binghamton made its third appearance in the America East Men's Lacrosse Championship in the last four seasons, previously qualifying in both 2022 and 2023. The Bearcats now have 22 selections to the conference's all-tournament team. In Binghamton's last appearance in the tournament in 2023, both
Declan Ferris and
Ethan Insinga received the honors.
