Washington native Senghore, Florida-born Richardson bolster Bearcats' lineup for 2025-26

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton men's basketball coach Levell Sanders has extended his reach to Florida and the State of Washington to welcome two more Bearcat recruits for the 2025-26 season.

Set to join Binghamton are 6-foot-8 forward Sayerr Senghore (Woodinville, Wash./Woodinville/Fort Valley State, Ga.) and 6-foot-5 guard Ryan Richardson (Hollywood, Fla./Miami Country Day/Missouri State-West Plains). The pair are the latest of five newcomers locked in for next season.

Senghore led NCAA Division II Fort Valley State (Ga.) in scoring (13.1 ppg.) and rebounding (8.9) last season. He shot 57% from the field and 75% from the line. Senghore also led the team in steals and was second in blocks. He produced 21 double-digit scoring games, including nine with 15+ points. Senghore compiled eight double-doubles and had 14 games with nine or more rebounds. In his final game with the Wildcats, he poured in 29 points (11-for-13 FG) and 10 boards. Earlier in the season, Senghore played an incredible 53 minutes and led FVSU to a 95-92 triple overtime win over Albany State. He began his college career at Bellevue College (2022-23) and East Mississippi CC (2023-24).

"Sayerr is an athletic forward who has a lot of skill," Sanders said. "He has really good size at 6-8 and will be able to play and also defend multiple positions."

Richardson comes from NJCAA member Missouri State-West Plains, where he led the Grizzlies in assists (92) and 3-pointers (49) and was second in scoring (11.0 ppg.). He registered 18 double-digit scoring games, including each of his last 11. He netted a season-high 24 points vs. Parkland College on Dec. 8. Richardson shot 38% from 3-point range and chipped in 4.1 rebounds per game. He posted 13 games with four or more assists and raised his scoring average to 13.5 in conference play. Richardson spent his freshman season at Pensacola State College (Fla.).

"Ryan is a combo guard who has a lot of potential," Sanders said. "We don't recruit many student-athletes from the JUCO ranks but we really like his play-making ability and overall game. I like that he can play both guard spots offensively and also defend both spots.

"Both Ryan and Sayerr are the type of student-athletes we like to recruit," Sanders said. "They are both versatile and can guard multiple positions.  We are excited to welcome both of these student-athletes to the Bearcat family.

Previously signed recruits include freshmen Jake Blackburn and Jayden Kelsey and transfers Demetrius Lilley, Jeremiah Quigley and Bryson Wilson. The Bearcats also return Jayden Lemond, Evan Ashe, Stephan Snagg, Wes Peterson, Jr. and Jackson Benigni
