Men’s Soccer Defeated 2-1 by Lafayette

Leopards net both goals in a span of 12 minutes

VESTAL, N.Y. - Riley Martin and Conor Cohen score off of set pieces over a stretch of 12 minutes, leading Lafayette (3-5-2) to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Binghamton (4-5-0) in a non-conference men's soccer match on Tuesday evening at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The match was played during a steady downpour for most of the night.

Binghamton started off strong when Anthony Randazzo netted his team-best fourth goal of the season just 3:55 into the match. Senior back Will Mahoney crossed the ball into the box where Randazzo scored from close range.

Martin, however, tied the score in the 41st minute on a rebound goal off of a free kick by Samir Dishnica. In the 53rd minute, Cohen headed in a corner kick taken by Nikolas Hadjimitis.

Lafayette finished with an 11-10 edge in shots as well as a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Binghamton hosts New Hampshire on Saturday at 3 p.m. in its annual Homecoming Game.
