VESTAL, N.Y. – The Binghamton wrestling team (2-0, 1-0 EIWA) is set to take the mat for the first time in 2026 when the Bearcats wrestle both Hofstra (2-7, 2-1 EIWA) and Lock Haven (2-3, 1-0 MAC) in Journeymen Wrestling's ArmBar Sunday at the Impact Athletic Center in Clifton Park, N.Y. Binghamton wrestles Lock Haven at 11:30 a.m., followed by Hofstra at 1:30 p.m.
The Bearcats look to build on their 2-0 record in dual competition under first-year head coach
Ryan LeBlanc. Binghamton last competed on Dec. 19, when it defeated Long Island University 40-4 at the Events Center.
Carson Wagner posted his first major decision of the season with a 14-4 victory over Sawyer Ostroff, while
Marco Albanese,
Dillon Arrick,
Fin Nadeau and
Caleb Sweet each earned decisions against the Sharks. No. 27
Carter Baer,
Will Ebert,
Ryan Hartung and
Mikey Squires each also picked up a victory via a forfeit.
That same day, both
Jacob Hanlon and
Jack Kazalas reached the podium while competing unattached at the Wilkes Open. Kazalas finished fourth at 141 lbs., while Hanlon took sixth at 133 lbs.

Lock Haven Notes
- Lock Haven's two victories this season came against LIU 48-6 on Nov. 8 and MAC foe Clarion 30-10 on Dec. 5. The Bald Eagles, who have won three of the last four MAC championships, are battle-tested, having faced Big Ten opponents Indiana, Northwestern and Wisconsin throughout the year.
- Wyatt Henson, who has qualified for nationals in each of the last three seasons, enters Sunday's dual with 10 wins in 2025-26, posting a team-high five technical falls along the way. The Oklahoma transfer has won the MAC championship at 141 lbs., in each of his first two seasons at Lock Haven in 2024 and 2025.
- Both Avery Bassett and Tucker Hogan also qualified for nationals in 2025, with Bassett winning one match at the tournament. Bassett goes into Sunday's dual leading Lock Haven in overall wins with 13.
