Women's soccer announces spring schedule

Bearcats will play five dates and also travel to Italy for special trip

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer has announced its spring schedule and the Bearcats will play five spring dates with a special trip to Italy sandwiched in-between.

"Our team is looking forward to playing five challenging scrimmage dates this spring, along with the tough competition we will see during our Italy trip," head coach Neel Bhattacharjee said. "Each of our student-athletes is making development gains at this time and we are looking forward to putting it together collectively against quality opposition. This is exactly that type of experience we want - scrimmages where we can put ourselves in uncomfortable environments both regionally and also in Europe - so we can continue to grow during this time and take steps to once again compete for America East regular season and postseason championships in the fall."

Binghamton women's soccer has been the most successful America East program over the last four years, with three regular-season titles and just three combined conference losses. This past fall, the Bearcats (10-2-5) set records with a 13-game unbeaten streak (8-0-5) and just one regular-season loss. The team produced a second unbeaten conference season in the last three years. In the last four seasons, the Bearcats are 20-3-9 (77%) - the highest win percentage among all America East members.
