Women's tennis selected sixth in NEC preseason poll

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. - Binghamton women's tennis was selected sixth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

The team was selected sixth after going 7-12 (1-6 NEC) in the spring last season.

This is the Bearcats' third season since joining the Northeast Conference back in 2023-24, looking to build off last year under head coach Paul Caceres, who enters his second season at the helm.

Reigning champion FDU landed the top spot followed by tournament runners-up Saint Francis. Le Moyne landed in third, followed by LIU and Wagner. Binghamton claimed sixth, with Stonehill, Chicago State, and Mercyhurst finishing off the list.

Binghamton kick off their 2026 spring campaign at Buffalo, Feb. 7. Match time is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. The Bearcats begin NEC competition at Stonehill, Feb. 15.
