FAIRFIELD, Conn. – In its final EIWA dual of the season, the Binghamton wrestling team (7-3, 4-1 EIWA) won nine out of 10 bouts to defeat Sacred Heart (3-7, 0-3 EIWA) 29-3 Saturday at the William H Pitt Athletic & Convocation Center.

Ryan LeBlanc. "We've put together a strong couple of weeks in training, and it showed in several of the positions we've been emphasizing. Overall, it was a complete team effort, and I was pleased with the way our guys competed from start to finish."
Highlights
- No. 18/19 Carter Baer closed out the dual by winning his 16th match in a row by defeating Aidan Zarrella 11-1 in the 174 lb., bout. Baer, who recorded his first major decision of the season, moves to an overall record of 16-2 and a perfect dual mark of 10-0.
- Mikey Squires improved to 13-2 on the season and 9-1 in dual competition after he defeated Chris DeLena 13-1 at 197 lbs. The victory was Squires' fourth major decision of the season, which ties Dillon Arrick for the team lead.
- Will Ebert made a grand return to his hometown of Fairfield, Conn., by opening the dual with a 5-0 shutout against Hunter Perez.
- Arrick, Trent Sibble, Carson Wagner, Caleb Sweet, Fin Nadeau and Marco Albanese each also picked up a decision during the dual.
- This is the second year in a row that Binghamton held Sacred Heart to three team points in a dual. The Bearcats previously defeated the Pioneers 43-3 at the Events Center on Feb. 9, 2025.
