Bearcats and Raiders to play 4 p.m. non-conference DH

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (7-16) swept Maine 12-11, 11-3 on Sunday in an America East doubleheader at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Junior catcher Elisa Allen - the current America East Player of the Week - went a perfect 3-for-3 (1.000), homered twice, drove in five runs and drew four walks. Junior outfielder Maddy Dodig also recorded five RBI while graduate student outfielder Darien McDonough pounded out four doubles.

- Sophomore third baseman Rachel Carey leads the America East and is ranked No. 11 in the nation with a .500 batting average. Allen is tops in the conference in home runs and third in RBI (20). Junior outfielder Maddy Dodig is third in the America East in hitting (.409) and No. 26 in the nation with 0.39 doubles per game. Graduate student outfielder Darien McDonough is seventh in the America East in batting (.370) as well as fifth in the nation with 0.38 doubles per game.

- As a team, Binghamton leads the America East in batting (.307). After 23 games in 2025, the Bearcats were hitting .247. This season, the Bearcats significantly upgraded their non-conference schedule which has included five opponents that advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, six programs that finished with an RPI in the Top 75 last year and six teams from Power-4 conferences.

- In the current national rankings, Binghamton is fifth as a team with 2.09 doubles per game and No. 20 with 0.52 double plays per game.

- Colgate (16-16) took two out of three games at Holy Cross this past weekend and are off to a 5-1 start in Patriot League play. As a team, the Raiders have already belted 50 home runs this season and are ranked No. 22 in the nation with 1.56 home runs per game.

- Nora Megenity ranks third in the Patriot League in batting (.413), is second with 10 home runs and sixth with 29 RBI. Lily Haluska is fifth in hitting (.364), fourth in home runs (nine) and third with 32 RBI.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Colgate 22-16. Earlier this season, the Bearcats took an 8-1 decision on March 8 at the nearby BAGSAI Softball Complex. Sophomore pitcher Savanna McHale got the complete-game victory while graduate student Darien McDonough drove in a pair of runs and tied the school record with three doubles. Since that meeting, however, Colgate has gone 9-3.

- Allen currently has 37 career home runs, which ranks second all time in Binghamton program history behind only Jessica Phillips (2010-13), who hit 44 home runs during her career. Phillips was recently elected into the Binghamton Athletic Hall of Fame and will be formally inducted in the fall.

- In the America East record book, Allen's 37 home runs rank ninth all time. There is a four-way tie for fifth place with 42 home runs. The all-time record of 46 home runs is shared by Kristen Brust of Stony Brook (2002-05) and Hayley Durham of Stony Brook (2003-06). Phillips is in sole possession of third place with her 44 home runs.

- With a 97-49 record since moving into the Bearcats Sports Complex in 2013, Binghamton is closing in on its 100th win on its current home field. During the past 13 years, the Bearcats have won two America East championships (2015 and 2025), four regular-season conference titles (2016, 2017, 2024 and 2025) and have hosted the America East Tournament on their home field six times (2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2025).
