Women's tennis picks up 4-1 victory over Bloomsburg

Box Score BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Binghamton women's tennis (6-10) defeated Bloomsburg (8-4) 4-1 Friday afternoon at the Burt Resse Tennis Center.

Loren Cuomo and Nitya Vyas cruised to a victory in doubles action, winning 6-1 in the No. 1 doubles slot. Binghamton earned the doubles point after Bloomsburg retired and withdrew matches two and three.

Vyas went on to win her singles contest in a three-set bout, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Apara Khandare won in straight sets in the No. 2 singles position, 6-4, 6-2 and Samantha Jaros won 6-3, 6-2 in No. 4 singles slot to earn Binghamton's clinching point.

The Bearcats compete in their final contest of the regular season on Sunday against NEC opponent LIU at the Lane – Starke Tennis Center. 1 p.m. is the slated start time.
