SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Binghamton women's tennis (5-10) swept Union College (2-8) 7-0 on Friday afternoon.
The Bearcats dominated the doubles games by winning all three 6-1, 6-4 and 6-2.
In singles competition
Loren Cuomo,
Apara Khandare,
Angel Walia and
Samantha Jaros won in straight sets in singles 1-4.
Adelie Wilson won the first set of her match 6-2 but fell 7-5 in her the second set, forcing a third-set round that was settled on a super tiebreaker where Wilson won 10-6.
Sara Kotz also battled in a three-set match, winning the first set 6-2 but dropping the second in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-4). The third set was also decided on a super tiebreaker, where Kotz claimed the victory 10-4.
Binghamton returns home to take on Le Moyne on Tuesday, April 7 at the Lane – Starke Tennis Center. Match start time is set for 12:30 p.m.
