VESTAL, N.Y. – Binghamton women's basketball has announced that Jocelin Wright will join the program as an assistant coach.

Wright joins the Bearcats after most recently serving as an assistant coach for Colgate University in 2025-26.

"I am very excited to add Jocelin to the staff," said head coach Mary Grimes. "Jocelin is such an energetic person that it will resonate with the players and the Binghamton community. She is someone that I have been keeping an eye on as an up-and-coming coach in women's basketball because of her work ethic and relationship-building, which will be valuable to our program."

Prior to Colgate, Wright began her coaching career at Tompkins Cortland Community College, where she started as an assistant coach from 2021-23, before becoming head coach from 2023-25. Over the course of her four years at the college, Wright mentored one All-Region three-time Player of the week, two All-Conference Players, six NJCAA All-Academic athletes, three All-MSAC recipients, and was nominated for the Coach of the Year award in 2023–24.

Wright is a central N.Y. native who grew up in Ithaca and earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Bachelor of Business in Sport Management from Alliance University.

A former Division II, two-sport athlete, competing in both the women's basketball and lacrosse teams. The Ithaca native was a four-year starter and two-year captain within both programs, earning CACC All-Academic honors three times in her career. Wright was also CACC Conference Defensive Player of the Week three times.
