Bearcats continue tradition of excellence in the classroom

VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton men's swimming & diving program has recorded the highest GPA among all of the programs in its sport in the America East Conference during the 2025-26 academic year.

With a 3.43 overall team GPA, the Bearcats topped the America East for the fourth time in six years. In addition, Binghamton has now posted the top men's swimming & diving team GPA eight times since 2009. The conference did not sponsor men's swimming & diving between 2014-2017.

In the pool, the Bearcat men have finished in the top two every year since the America East began sponsoring men's swimming & diving again in 2018. During that stretch, Binghamton has captured three men's team championships (2021, 2024 & 2025).

Since joining the America East prior to the 2001-02 academic year, Binghamton as a division of athletics has earned 58 Sport GPA awards.
