BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – Binghamton women's tennis kicked off the 2026-27 season by hosting the Carousel Classic Invitational that spanned over the course of three days.

The weekend included a community-themed event that featured multiple teams and formats, including the introduction of adaptive tennis programming, designed to create opportunities for athletes with disabilities to experience the sport in a welcoming, competitive, and supportive environment.

Freshman Jess McLean made a strong debut by going 6-1 overall and defeating all three opponents she faced in singles play. Freshman Michelle Rosenblit went undefeated in doubles action, winning four contest and going 5-1 overall.

Adelie Wilson won her only single match of the weekend and went 4-1 overall. NEC All-Rookie member Apara Khandare had a strong showing by going 4-2 over the course of three days.

The Bearcats return to action for the Binghamton Championships at the Lane-Starke Tennis Center with play spanning over a three-day period, beginning on Friday, Sept. 25.
