VESTAL, N.Y. – Having won its last six matches, the Binghamton volleyball team (6-3) looks to extend its winning streak at the Dartmouth Invitational, which takes place from Friday through Saturday at Leede Arena in Hanover, N.H. The Bearcats face Dartmouth (3-3) on Friday at 3 p.m., Boston College (7-1) on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Quinnipiac (1-7) Sunday at noon.
 
LAST TIME ON THE COURT
Binghamton had a grand homecoming, winning all three of its matches at its home tournament, the Bearcat Classic, last weekend. The Bearcats defeated both Temple and Cornell in five sets, before sweeping New Haven.
 
Viktoria Dimitrova, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the Bearcat Classic, went on to be selected as the America East Player of the Week on Tuesday. The junior outside hitter recorded 47 kills for an average of 3.62 over 13 sets played. That includes a season-high 18 against Temple on Sept. 10 and 16 against New Haven on Sept. 12. Dimitrova also added 15 digs and 12 total blocks throughout the invitational.
 
Binghamton has earned a weekly honor from the America East two weeks in a row. Regan Kadel was named Setter of the Week on Sept. 9, after posting a combined 104 assists across 12 sets for an average of 8.67 per frame in Binghamton's three victories at the Sacred Heart Invitational.
 
Both Maya Coblentz-Brown and Celeste Ocampo were also named to the invitational's all-tournament team. Coblentz-Brown put up 33 kills, 12 blocks and four digs across 13 sets. In Binghamton's victory against Cornell, Coblentz-Brown led the Bearcats with a season-high 16 kills. She also added four blocks and three digs in the win against the Big Red.
 
Ocampo, meanwhile, continued to stand out on defense for Binghamton. The sophomore libero finished the invitational with 62 digs in 13 sets, averaging 4.77 per set. Ocampo also added six assists, three coming against both Temple and Cornell, as well as a service ace against New Haven.
 
Binghamton's six-match winning streak is the longest the program has had since 2024, when the Bearcats closed out the regular season winning their last seven contests. Also, Binghamton has won its first three matches this season that went to five sets. The Bearcats have not accomplished that since 2004, when Binghamton defeated Akron, Siena and Maine in its first three five-set matches of the season.
 
MORE ON DARTMOUTH
Friday is the first time Binghamton faces Dartmouth since 2021. Dartmouth leads the all-time series 2-1. After Binghamton won the inaugural match 3-2 on Sept. 29, 2001, Dartmouth took the next two meetings. The Big Green first won 3-1 on Sept. 4, 2010, and then in straight sets on Sept. 3, 2021.
 
Dartmouth opened its season going 2-1 at the Buffalo/Canisius Invitational. The Big Green won both of its matches against Canisius in four sets, while falling to Buffalo 3-1. Then, Dartmouth went 1-2 at the Ellis Rowland Memorial Tournament, beating UAlbany 3-1 before losing to Northeastern 3-1 and Colgate 3-0.
 
Riley Imamura leads Dartmouth with 69 kills and 3.00 per set. In the final match against Canisius, she put up a career-high 16. Zori Brown, meanwhile, has a team-high 76.5 points, with 63 kills recorded so far this season. On defense, Elle McCreery ranks third in the Ivy League in blocks per set at 1.30, putting up 30 across 23 sets.
 
MORE ON BOSTON COLLEGE
Boston College leads the all-time series against Binghamton 3-2. The Bearcats won the first match back on Aug. 25, 2007, in straight sets. After Boston College won the next three matches, Binghamton won the last meeting back on Sept. 7, 2024, with the Bearcats defeating the Eagles 3-2.
 
To open the 2026 season, Boston College won its first five matches, with the first four being decided in straight sets. After falling to undefeated Vanderbilt in four sets on Sept. 9, Boston College won both of its matches at the Carrie Yerty Classic. The Eagles defeated Memphis in four sets and Alcorn State in three.
 
Audrey Ross ranks third in the ACC in both kills per set (4.38) and points per set (5.08). She reached 1,000 kills for her career during Boston College's victory against Memphis. Meanwhile, Brooklyn Yelland and Sofija Marjanovic rank fourth and fifth in the conference respectively in service aces per set. Yelland averages 0.54 with 14 across 26 sets, while Marjanovic has an average of 0.48 with 11 across 23 sets.
 
MORE ON QUINNIPIAC
Binghamton has won all three of its prior meetings against Quinnipiac dating back to 2003, winning nine sets to the Bobcats' one. In the last meeting on Sept. 27, 2009, Binghamton prevailed 3-1.
 
Quinnipiac lost its first four matches this season, before picking up its first victory by defeating NJIT in straight sets on Sept. 5 at the Delaware State Invitational. However, the Bobcats enter this weekend on a three-match losing streak after being defeated by Penn, Lafayette and Rhode Island at the Leopard Invitational.
 
Giulia Ragusa averages a team-high 2.88 kills per set, ranking sixth in the Metro Conference. Just behind her is Sahra Ozbiltekin, who is eight in the league at 2.70 kills per set. Also, Klara Jadwiga Olszewska and Sophia Gisslen are third and fourth in the Metro Conference respectively in assists per set at 8.05 and 7.93.
