Kevin Fahey

  • Title
    Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Head men’s lacrosse coach, Kevin McKeown, has announced the hiring of Kevin Fahey as an assistant coach, bolstering his staff for the 2020 season. This will be Fahey’s first collegiate coaching opportunity, as the California native spent 2019 as the JV defensive coordinator and Varsity assistant coach at his very own Coronado High School.

While a student at Coronado High School, Fahey earned numerous accolades as a four-year Varsity starter. On the field, Fahey’s domination culminated with an Under Armour All-America West Team selection. Off the field, Fahey was honored as a Union Tribune Scholar Athlete as a junior and senior.

Fahey chose to take his talents to Louisville, Kentucky, and played collegiate lacrosse at Bellarmine University. Over his four years with the Knights, Fahey served as a defensive stalwart, finishing his career with 78 ground balls and 33 caused turnovers, finishing amongst the team leaders in those categories every year. It all came together in his 2018 senior season, during which he accrued 24 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers, earning a first-team All-Southern Conference defense selection. Fahey was also a Southern Conference Honor Roll honoree all four of his years at Bellarmine, further highlighting his acumen, something Coach McKeown certainly hopes facilitates success in his new role.
