STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-12,2-1 AE) defeated Vermont 73-62 on Saturday afternoon at the Events Center.  Senior forward Sherae Swinson recorded her fourth career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds while freshman guard Imani Watkins finished with 18 points, eight rebounds and three assists.

- For the season, freshman guard Imani Watkins leads the Bearcats with 16.2 points per game, which ranks third in the America East. Freshman point guard Jasmine Sina is second on the squad and sixth in the conference with 14.8 points per contest. Senior forward Sherae Swinson is tied for fifth in the America East with 7.2 rebounds per game.

- Albany (10-6,3-0 AE) is the three time defending American East champion. Most recently, the Great Danes won 78-50 at UMass Lowell Sunday afternoon. Junior forward Shereesha Richards led all scorers with 26 points, while Senior guard Sarah Royals added 16 points and 6 assists.

- With the win Sunday Albany has won 21 of its last 22 conference games, including 20 by double digits. Junior forward Shereesha Richards currently leads the conference in points (19.2) and rebounds (9.0) per game.  The Great Danes as a team lead the conference in scoring margin (+8.5), field goal percentage (.474), assists (14.6), and steals (9.9). 

- Albany has won the past eight meetings and leads the all time series 30-25.  Last year, the Great Danes defeated Binghamton 77-59 in the American East Quarterfinals. Current senior forward Sherae Swinson led the Bearcats with 21 points in that game. The last Bearcat victory in the series was a 41-40 win in Albany on Feb. 20, 2011.

- The freshman duo of guards Imani Watkins and Jasmine Sina have combined for six America East Rookie of the Week honors so far this season. Watkins was selected on Nov. 17, Nov. 24 and Dec. 22 while Sina was the pick on Dec. 1, Dec. 29 and Jan 5.
