Bearcats post four double winners in final dual meet of the season


Meet Results 

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Binghamton swimmin and diving program competed fiercly on Saturday afternoon, but was handed a pair of deats by Marist at McCann Natatorium. The women were edged out 137-163 while the men fell by a score of 125-169.


Binghamton had three double winners on the women's side. Senior Caitlin Kelly won the 50 free (24.17) and the 100 free (53.75), fellow senior Corinne Zotter captured the 100- and 200 breaststroke with time of 1:06.40 and 2:25.93 respectively while junior Selina Ng swept the 100 fly (58.98) and 200 fly (2:11.93).

Kelly, Zotter and Ng joined senior Shannon Lampe to win the 200 medley relay (1:48.30). Lampe and Kelly later joined freshman Courtney Foley and senior Timea Tozier to take first in the 400 freestyle relay.

Also winning for the Bearcat women was freshman Maria Trivino in the 200 IM (2:11.60).

In the men's meet, senior Devin Zdanowski swept the one- and three-meter diving events, with scores of 297.37 and 303.60 respectively.

Other winners for the Bearcat men included junior Tommy Cummings in the 100 breaststroke (59.37), sophomore Ruan Zorgman in the 200-breaststroke (2:09.68) and sophomore Liam Cashin in the 200 IM (1:57.69_.

The women will be competing at the America East Championship Febuary 12-15. The men will be competing at the ECAC Championships Feb. 27-March 1.
