HARTFORD, Conn.- The Binghamton volleyball team won, 3-1, at Hartford Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats won by scores of 25-18, 25-16, 30-32, and 25-18 in the America East match.

In the fourth game, the teams were even at 15. BU followed with a 10-3 run to close out the contest.
Erin Shultz recorded two kills around a
Gabby Alicea ace. After a Hartford timeout, Alicea served another ace for a 20-15. The Hawks scored, but
Megan Burgess answered with a kill. With Binghamton ahead, 21-17, Shultz, Alicea, and
Kristella Morina each scored to push the Bearcats closer to victory. The hosts scored the next point, but
Sarah Ngo found Morina for a kill on match point, lifting BU to a conference win.

Alicea led with 19 points, including five aces. Shultz tallied 17 points, including four aces, to go with 9 digs. Ngo contributed 43 assists and 14 digs, while
Kasey Muchnicki recorded 16 digs. BU hit .250 as a team on the day.

Binghamton (6-18, 3-6 AE) hosts UMBC and Stony Brook in its final two home matches next weekend.
