Women's Basketball Travels to Bucknell

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-1) defeated NJIT 54-50 in its home opener on Monday night. Sophomore forward Alyssa James scored 15 points, grabbed nine rebounds and recorded three blocks. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins, meanwhile, finished with 14 points and 11 rebounds to record the first double-double of her career.

- James leads the Bearcats and ranks sixth in the America East with 16. 0 points per game. She is also third in rebounding (9.5 rpg.) and first in blocks (3.5 per game). Watkins ranks second on the squad with 11.5 ppg. and 7.5 rpg. 

- Bucknell (1-1) was defeated 85-54 at third-ranked Notre Dame on Sunday. Two days earlier, however, the Bison pulled out a 59-57 win at Cleveland State.

- Jacquie Klotz leads Bucknell with 16.0 points per game while Clare DeBoer is first with 10.0 rebounds per game.
 
- Bucknell leads the all-time series 5-2, having won the previous four matchups. Most recent, the Bison won 68-57 at Binghamton on Dec. 28, 2014.  The Bearcats' last win in the series was a 58-57 decision back on Dec. 8, 2001.

- Freshman guard Rebecca Carmody is the current America East Rookie of the Week. In the season opener at Michigan on Saturday, she finished with 17 points, seven rebounds, a team-high five assists, two blocks and a pair of steals. 

- As a team, the Bearcats rank second in the America East with 5.0 blocks per game. Three different players have registered at least one block this year.
