STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-6) was defeated 71-64 at Columbia on Wednesday night. Sophomore forward Alyssa James, however, poured in a career-high 33 points. In the process, she turned in the highest scoring output by a Bearcat player since 2009. Sophomore forward Imani Watkins finished with 13 points while freshman guard Rebecca Carmody grabbed a game-high and career-best 14 rebounds.
 
- James ranks first on the team and third in the America East with 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. She also leads the conference in blocks (2.7 bpg.). Watkins is sixth in the America East in scoring (14.9 ppg.), third in assists (4.8 apg.) and is tied for sixth in steals (2.0 spg.). Senior guard Kim Albrecht is averaging 10.7 points per game and is third in the America East with 1.9 three-point field goals per game.

- Sacred Heart (1-7) lost 92-62 at Temple on Wednesday night. Hannah Kimmel paced the Pioneers with 17 points while Kelcey Castro added 12 points. Adaysha Williams leads the squad with 11.5 points per game while Kimmel is grabbing a team-best 7.8 rebounds per night.
 
- Binghamton and Sacred Heart meet for the first time in six years. Most recently, the Pioneers defeated the host Bearcats 67-59 back on Dec. 21, 2009. Sacred Heart has swept all four meetings since the two programs moved up to the NCAA Division I level. At the Division II level, Binghamton won the 1998 and 1999 meetings.
 
- The Bearcats have played tough in their last three road games. Despite going 0-3, the three loses have come by a combined total of 18 points. The current record of those three opponents (Columbia, Brown and Xavier) is currently 20-6.
