VESTAL, N.Y.- The Binghamton men's lacrosse team has moved its game at the University of Delaware back one day. The Bearcats will now travel to take on the Blue Hens on Sunday, March 8, at noon.
Binghamton enters the game with an 0-3 record start to the season. BU is coming off from a tough 11-10 loss to Hobart. The Bearcats outshot the Statesmen 35-30, with
Tucker Nelson tallying three goals and
J.T. Hauck scoring two. Nelson has scored in all 30 of his games at BU, marking the 14
th longest Division I streak. He leads the Bearcats with five goals and five assists in 2015.
Paul O'Donnell has scored three goals and added three assists.
Sean Gilroy has had five goals and Hauck has posted four this season.
George Deignan has collected 10 ground balls.
Delaware comes into the game following an 18-6 win over Holy Cross. Tom Holland and Paul Major had three goals each with the first two goals of the match from Holland. Holland leads Delaware with 13 goals this season. Brian Kormondy has put up eight goals and seven assists and Beau Jones has seven goals and eight helpers. Jackson Finnigan leads in groundballs with 20 this season. The Blue Hens sport a 3-3 record.
Last year, Binghamton met Delaware at home on March 8. Nelson and Hauck posted two goals each for the Bearcats. DU's Jeff Heath and Kormondy also recorded two goals for Delaware. Binghamton tied up the game with 3:18 to go in the fourth quarter, but the Blue Hens answered back at the sound of the buzzer to win by the final score of 10-9.
