LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Host Siena (2-1-2) netted the game's lone goal just 96 seconds into the contest and Binghamton women's soccer (1-3-1) couldn't register the equalizier in a 1-0 loss Sunday afternoon at Siena Field.Â
The Saints scored after an attack down the left side. The initial shot by Kelsey Horst was stopped by sophomore keeper
Katie Hatziyianis, but Horst converted her rebound, which banked in off the post.Â
"It was a well fought game against a quality opponent," head coach
Sarah McClellan said. "We just couldn't find the equalizer. But we're continuing to sharpen things up and look forward to getting better."
The Bearcats were outshot 13-11 but put just two shots on net.Â
Hatziyianis made six saves.Â
Binghamton is off until traveling to Buffalo on Friday for a 7 p.m. tilt with the Bulls.Â
