Women's Basketball Heads to UMass Lowell

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (8-10, 3-2 AE) executed late against Vermont en route to a 57-53 victory on Thursday night at Patrick Gymnasium. Sophomore guard Imani Watkins poured in a game-high 23 points while sophomore forward Alyssa James finished with 16 points, seven rebounds and a game-high five blocks.
 
- James ranks fifth in the America East in scoring (16.7 ppg.) and fourth in rebounding (8.7 rpg). She also ranks first in blocks per game with 3.2. Watkins is sixth in the conference in scoring (16.6 ppg.), third in assists (4.6 apg.) and is fourth in steals (2.3 spg.). Senior guard Kim Albrecht is averaging 11.2 points per game and is third in the America East with 2.2 three-point field goals per game as well as a .390 three-point field goal percentage.

- UMass Lowell (3-15, 0-6 AE) lost 61-65 at New Hampshire on Thursday evening. The River Hawks were 24-of-51 from the field in the process. Nicole Hayner, who ranks sixteenth in the America East with 10.6 points per game, finished with a career-high 19 points against the Wildcats. Lindsey Doucette added 18 points.

- The all-time series is tied 4-4. Last season the two teams split the pair of meetings. Binghamton won 65-64 at the Events Center on Jan. 3, 2015. The River Hawks, however, got even with a 66-49 triumph at the Costello Center on Feb. 2, 2015. The Bearcats' last win at the Costello Center was a 65-64 victory on Jan. 7, 2014.

- Binghamton and UMass Lowell are two of the top three-point shooting teams in terms of percentage in the America East Conference this season. The River Hawks are first at .317 while the Bearcats are third at .307.
