Bearcats and Hawks Meet On Saturday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (5-2-4, 0-0-1 AE) gained a 1-1 tie at No. 19 UMass Lowell on Saturday. Sophomore back Kevin Flesch deadlocked the game with just 27 seconds remaining in regulation. Redshirt junior back Charlie Novoth was credited with the assist. The game marked the second time this season that the Bearcats have tied a nationally-ranked opponent.

- Binghamton is currently ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA Northeast Region Poll. In addition, the Bearcats have a RPI of No. 61 – their highest since the 2008 season.

- Hartford (4-5-2, 0-0-1 AE) is coming off a 1-0 home loss to Northeastern on Tuesday night. In its opening conference game last Saturday, however, the Hawks played Albany to a scoreless tie. Andri Jonasson leads Hartford with three goals and seven total points so far this year. He is one of eight different Hawk players to have scored at least once. In goal, Jimmy Slayton has five shutouts and a 0.69 goals against average.

- The all-time series between Binghamton and Hartford is tied at 7-7-3. In four of the last five meetings between the squads, the game has gone into overtime. Last year, the two teams played to a scoreless tie in Hartford on Oct. 17. In the last meeting at the Bearcats Sports Complex, Binghamton won 1-0 on Oct. 4, 2014 on a first-half goal by Steven Celeste.

- Sophomore forward Nikkos Psarras and junior midfielder Ben Ovetsky each have a team-best three goals and seven total points. Sophomore midfielder Miles Burbank has added a pair of goals. Novoth leads the squad with four assists. Nine different Binghamton players have scored at least one goal this year.

- The America East as a conference trails only the ACC, Pac 12 and Big East in the RPI rankings. Two teams (UMass Lowell and New Hampshire) are nationally ranked and three times besides Binghamton appear in the current NSCAA East Region Poll.

- Binghamton is off to a 3-0-1 start at home, having outscored their opponents 7-2 in the process. The crowd of 1,806 at the Homecoming game against Buffalo on Sept. 24 was the largest at the Bearcats Complex since 2012. The Bearcats' average home attendance so far this season is 870.
