SCHEDULE NOTE

Junior guard Imani Watkins will be honored during a pregame ceremony for scoring her 1,000th career point during Wednesday's game against Sacred Heart. The ceremony will start at 12:57 p.m., just prior to the National Anthem. 

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-4) lost 77-69 to Sacred Heart on Wednesday against a team favored to with the Northeast Conference (NEC). Junior guard Imani Watkins scored 23 points and in the process, became the 15th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark in scoring. Redshirt sophomore guard Jasmine Sina netted 16 points, freshman guard Kai Moon chipped in 13 points and junior center Alyssa James finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds to record her ninth career double-double. 

- Junior guard Imani Watkins leads the America East and is tied for No. 16 in the nation with 22.2 points per game. Redshirt guard Jasmine Sina is second on the team and ninth in the conference with 12.6 points per game. Watkins and Sina are also tied for first in the America East with 3.2 three-point field goals per game. Sophomore forward Rebecca Carmody, meanwhile, leads the conference with 7.4 rebounds per game. 

- Brown (2-3) dropped a 58-57 decision to Manhattan on Tuesday. Shayna Mehta, who has reached double figures in scoring all five games, posted a team-high 11 points. She also had four steals and three assists. Taylor Will leads the Bears with 16.6 points per game while Erika Steeves is averaging a team-best 9.4 rebounds per contest.  

- Brown has swept both of the previous meetings between the two programs. Last season, the Bears hit a last-second shot to defeat the visiting Bearcats 67-65. Alyssa James led all scorers with 19 points. Imani Watkins had 18 points while Rebecca Carmody finished with 14 points. In the only other meeting, Brown defeated Binghamton on Nov. 28, 2004 at the Events Center in the championship game of the Time Warner Classic. 

- Junior guard Imani Watkins currently has 1,014 career points, which ranks 15th all time in Binghamton program history. She is four points away from tying Helene Thomas (1981-85) for 14th place with 1,018 points and five points away from catching Jen Blues (2002-06) for 13th place with 1,019 career points.

- As a team, the Bearcats lead the America East with 8.4 three-point field goals per game. In addition, Binghamton is second in free throw percentage (.712), steals per game (9.4) and turnover margin (+4.40).
