BUFFALO, N.Y.- The Binghamton women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision at Buffalo Saturday.
Alexis Tashiro won her singles match in the non-conference contest at the Miller Tennis Center.
Â
Agatha Ambrozy and
Olga Ostrovetsky teamed up for a 7-5 doubles win, but Buffalo collected victories in the other two duos bouts, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead.
Â
Tashiro was the lone singles winner for the Bearcats. She defeated Christine Haroldson, 6-3, 6-2 at #6 singles. Ambrozy and Ostrovetsky each pushed their matches to three sets, but the Bulls came away with enough points to post the team win.
Â
The defeat snapped Binghamton's four-match win streak. BU is now 5-4 this season. It hosts Hartford in the home and America East opener tomorrow. The match is set for an 8 a.m. start at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
