VESTAL, N.Y.- The Binghamton men's lacrosse team hosts Delaware on Saturday, March 12, at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The 2016 home opener is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
Binghamton (0-3) fell at Hobart, 12-6, on March 5.
Sean Gilroy recorded two goals and two assists, while
Zach Scaduto notched a hat trick.
Tanner Cosens posted nine saves in goal.
Delaware (2-5) defeated Manhattan, 6-5, on March 8. Coach Bob Shillinglaw won his 300
th career game at UD, becoming the second coach in NCAA Division I history to win that many games at one school.
Scaduto, a senior, paces the Bearcats with eight points (six goals, two assists). Gilroy has tallied four goals and two assists, while sophomore
Ben Kocis has three goals and three helpers. Cosens has made 30 saves, allowing 11 goals per match.
T.J. DiSanto tops the roster with nine groundballs.
Paul Major leads the Blue Hens with 10 goals and 8 assists. Andrew Romagnoli has logged nine goals and three helpers. Parker Ferrigan has started six games in net, totaling 46 saves.
Last season, BU won, 11-7, at Delaware. Gilroy and
Tyler Deluca each scored a goal, while Cosens compiled 14 saves. The teams have played each of the last three years, with Binghamton winning twice.
