ITHACA, N.Y.- The Binghamton women's tennis dropped a 7-0 decision at Cornell Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats will now take the next week off before heading to South Carolina for a pair of matches.
At the Reis Tennis Center, Cornell posted wins at #1 and #2 doubles to earn the team point. In singles play,
Alexis Tashiro and
Shea Brodsky each forced their second sets into extra time, but each fell late. The Big Red recorded straight set wins in the other four bouts.
BU (7-8) will not play again until Monday, March 28, when it heads south. It plays at Coastal Carolina at 10 a.m. The Bearcats follow with a neutral site contest against South Carolina State on Thursday, March 31.
