VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse hosts the University of Massachusetts Lowell Saturday, April 9. The America East match is set for 1 p.m. at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
The Bearcats (2-6, 1-1 America East) head into this matchup having dropped their last two outings. In its most recent game, Binghamton lost to Hartford 17-9, despite the hat trick of
Matthew Kaser.
Through eight games senior
Zach Scaduto leads the team in points (22), goals (13), and assists (9). Sophomore
Ben Kocis is second in all three categories with 18 points, 11 goals, and seven assists. Goalie
Tanner Cosens has started all eight games of the season, tallying 67 saves. Junior
Dan Mazurek has won 55.3 percent of his faceoffs this year.
The River Hawks (2-9, 0-3 AE) enter the game on a four-game losing skid. In their last game, UMass Lowell lost to UAlbany, 16-9. In that game, Martin Winter and Blaine McMahon both scored two goals. Goalie Grant Lardieri allowed 14 goals on 21 shots.
Sophomore Sean Tyrrell leads the River Hawks with 16 goals and ranks second with 14 assists. Sophomore Keenan Koswin leads the team with 15 assists. Will Puduski paces the team with 41 groundballs.
Last season, Binghamton defeated UMass Lowell on the road, 14-6. Scaduto and Kocis both scored a goal, while Kocis added two assists. Cosens stopped eight shots, yielding three goals in a decisive victory.
