BINGHAMTON, N.Y.- Binghamton women's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to Stony Brook Friday morning.
Olga Ostrovetsky won in singles and doubles match in the America East contest at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
The bout began with singles action, with the Seawolves winning each of the first five matches. Ostrovetsky claimed an 8-5 win over Becky Shtillkind at #6 singles, as the contest was played under the pro set format.
In doubles play, Stony Brook posted wins at #1 and #2, earning the team point. At #3, though, Ostrovetsky and
Agatha Ambrozy combined for a 6-4 win for the Bearcats.
Binghamton dropped to 7-11 overall and 1-2 in the conference. Stony Brook moved to 7-4 and 2-0 in the America East. BU hosts Albany on senior day Saturday, April 16. The contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
