VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's soccer coach Neel Bhattacharjee and three veteran players talked with the media on Thursday as the team entered its second week of preseason training. Addressing members of the local media were senior defender Allison Mack, junior keeper Katie Hatziyianis and junior defender Hannah Shankman.

Binghamton's season opener is August 19 at St. Bonaventure.

Bhattacharjee begins his first season with the Bearcats in 2016. The team returns 19 players from a 2015 squad that went 3-12-2 and missed a postseason berth. The Bearcats were picked to finish ninth in the America East preseason poll, which was released on Wednesday.

The team's home opener is slated for August 25 against Lafayette.
