Men’s Soccer Hosts Bucknell

Bearcats and Bison square off Tuesday at 7 p.m.









STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-2-3) defeated Buffalo 3-0 on before 1,801 fans on Saturday night. Sophomore forward Nikkos Psarras, who leads the Bearcats with three goals and six total points, scored twice against the Bulls. Redshirt freshman back Stephen McKenna added his first collegiate goal. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Alejandro Cubillo made three saves to record his fourth solo shutout of the year.

- Bucknell (2-5-2) is coming off a 1-1 draw against Boston University on Saturday. Patrick Mahoney scored his first collegiate goal against the Terriers. Nick King, meanwhile, leads the Bison with two goals and five total points so far this season. Bucknell's victories have come against Sacred Heart (2-1 on Sept. 4) and Fairleigh Dickinson (1-0 on Sept. 17).

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Bucknell 6-4-2. Most recently, the Bearcats took a 2-1 road decision on Aug. 29, 2014. Luca Bottoni and current redshirt junior back Charlie Novoth had the Bearcat goals in that victory. In the most recent meeting at Binghamton, the two teams played to a 2-2 tie on Oct. 30, 2012.

- Seven different Bearcat players have found the back of the net this season. In addition to Psarras and McKenna, junior forward Ben Ovetsky and sophomore midfielder Miles Burbank have each scored twice. Novoth, senior back Zach Galluzzo and senior forward Alex Varkatzas all have added a goal. Novoth and sophomore midfielder Harrison Weilbacher both have notched a team-high three assists.

- The Bearcats have recorded four shutouts so far this season. Cubillo has been helped by the starting backline of Novoth, Galluzzo, McKenna and sophomore Kevin Flesch.

- The Bearcats' have a current RPI ranking of No. 84 (out of 206 NCAA Division I programs). Against teams that have either been ranked or receiving votes in the national polls this season, Binghamton is 1-1-1. Buffalo was receiving votes coming into Saturday's match.
