BOSTON, Mass.- Binghamton volleyball took down Presbyterian, 3-1, Friday afternoon at the Northeastern Invitational.
Sarah Ngo recorded 47 assists and 10 digs as BU won by scores of 25-23, 16-25, 25-23, and 25-23 at the Cabot Center.

The Bearcats went down, 4-2, early in the first set, but quickly responded to take control. After a Blue Hose service error,
Gaby Alicea led a 9-0 BU run, serving three aces as Binghamton took an 11-4 advantage. Presbyterian eventually tied the game at 13, but
Sarah Ngo found
Lauren Kornmann and then
Bianca Anderson for kills as BU regained its edge.

With the frame even at 22, Ngo hit Kornmann for a point and then Ngo and Anderson combined for a block. Following a Presbyterian point, Kornmann closed out the set with a kill, giving Binghamton a 1-0 match lead.

The Blue Hose claimed the second set, tying the contest. The teams battled in a tight third game, as neither team gained a comfortable margin. Alicea scored three points, Shultz added a pair of kills, and then Alicea recorded an ace for a 14-12 difference. Ngo and Anderson teamed up for another block and then Ngo served an ace, lifting BU to a two-point lead. Kills by Anderson and Shultz pushed the Bearcats closer to victory. Leading 23-22, Ngo found Morina for a kill. After a Presbyterian score, the Blue Hose served long on set point, handing Binghamton a 25-23 decision and a 2-1 match lead.

In the fourth game, Morina scored twice early and Alicea tallied another ace. A Shultz ace made it 8-4 BU, but the Blue Hose fought back, tying the set at 9. Ngo answered with an assist to Anderson and then an ace. Eventually, the teams traded points to a 21-all frame. Ngo assisted on an Alicea kill and then
Bailey Walker hit Shultz for a point and a two-point edge.
Kasey Muchnicki entered the game and served an ace, making it 24-21. Presbyterian scored the next two points. On a third match point, Ngo set up Shultz, who finished for another 25-23 result.

Ngo generated a season-high in assists and digs, adding three aces. Shultz captured 18 points, hitting .318 on her way to 17 kills. Kornmann contributed 13 points and 9 digs, while Walker logged 23 digs. Alicea notched seven kills and six aces and Anderson had nine kills.

BU (2-5) is set to play twice Saturday. It will take on Fordham at 10 a.m. and then face the host Huskies at 7 p.m.
