STORY LINES
- Binghamton (4-5-3, 1-0-2 AE) won 1-0 on Wednesday at Hartford on a game by freshman forward
Jack Muller in the second sudden-death overtime period. It was his third goal of the season and was assisted by junior midfielder
Harrison Weilbacher.
- Binghamton as a team ranks third in the America East with 1.67 goals per game. Junior forward
Nikos Psarras is tied for third in the America East with six goals and is tied for fourth with 12 total points. Freshman midfielder
Noah Luescher is tied for second in the conference with four assists.
- Three Bearcat newcomers have scored at least three goals so far this season. Muller and Luescher each have three goals while sophomore transfer forward
Haris Brkovic, the America East Player of the Week on Sept. 18, has scored four times.
- No. 23 New Hampshire (8-1-3, 2-1-0 AE) scored twice in the final 10 minutes to rally for a 2-1 victory at Albany on Wednesday night. Jack Doherty tied the match in the 80th minute and Willis Griffith scored the game winner in the 87th minute.
- Defensively, the Wildcats lead the America East with a 0.33 goals against average so far this season. They have surrendered only four goals all year. Offensively, Chris Arling leads New Hampshire with four goals and eight total points.
- Binghamton leads the all-time series against New Hampshire 9-7-2. The visiting team, however, has won the past two matches. Last season, the Wildcats took a 2-1 overtime decision at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Oct. 15. The previous season, it was Binghamton that won 2-1 in Durham.
- New Hampshire is one of three America East teams that are either ranked or receiving votes in the national polls this week. The Wildcats are No. 23 in the United Coaches Poll and are ranked No. 25 by both
College Soccer News and
Soccer America. Albany is receiving votes in both the United Soccer Coaches Poll and
College Soccer News. UMBC, meanwhile, is ranked No. 18 by
Soccer America and receiving votes from
College Soccer News.
