STORY LINES
 
- Off to its best start since the 2011-12 season, Binghamton (6-4) won 67-36 against NJIT on Dec. 10 in its most recent game. Redshirt junior guard Jasmine Sina scored a game-high 15 points while senior center Alyssa James finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Junior guard Imani Watkins added 10 points.  
 
- Watkins is tied for the America East lead with 19.0 points per game while sophomore guard Kai Moon is averaging 11.4 points per night. James, meanwhile, leads the conference and is second in the nation with 4.8 blocks per game. She is also third in the America East with 8.5 rebounds per night. As a team, Binghamton is first in the America East and second in the nation with 8.2 blocks per game. The Bearcats are also tops in the America East in rebounding (42.1 rpg.).
 
- Cornell (2-6) lost 79-77 in overtime on Saturday against visiting Oakland. Samantha Widmann, who leads the Big Red with 17.1 points and 3.0 steals per game, scored a career-high 28 points. Elodie Furey is tops on the squad so far this season with 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
 
- The all-time series between Binghamton and Cornell is tied at 8-8 but the Big Red has won the last four meetings. Most recently, Cornell won 54-51 at the Events Center on Jan. 1, 2017. Imani Watkins had a team-best 13 points while Alyssa James grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds. The Bearcats' last win in the series was a 61-48 road decision on Nov. 30, 2011.
