Women's Basketball Concludes Regular Season at Maine

Bearcats and Black Bears tip off Sunday at 1 p.m.









STORY LINES

- Binghamton (13-16, 8-7 AE) rallied from nine points down to defeat Hartford 60-59 on Thursday night at the Events Center. Freshman guard Carly Boland drained the game-winning three-point shot with just over a minute left in regulation. Junior guard Imani Watkins, meanwhile, scored a game-high 28 points, going 12-for-21 fom the field and 4-for-9 from three-point range.

- Junior guard Imani Watkins ranks second in the America East with 19.4 points and is second with 2.2 steals per game. Junior center Alyssa James, meanwhile, is first in the America East and No. 28 in the nation with 2.4 blocks per game. She also is fourth in the conference with 6.9 rebounds per game. Watkins and redshirt sophomore guard Jasmine Sina rank first and second in the America East with 2.8 and 2.5 three-point field goals per game respectively. Freshman guard Carly Boland, meanwhile, is tops with a .483 three-point field goal percentage.  

- Maine (15-15, 8-7 AE) has had a week off since its 64-60 loss at Albany last Sunday. Sigi Koizar, who ranks fifth in the America East with 13.6 points per game, poured in a game-high 25 points. 

- Maine leads the all-time series 19-13 but the Bearcats took the earlier meeting this season, 58-52 at the Events Center on Jan. 28. Junior guard Imani Watkins scored a game-high 17 points while freshman guard Kai Moon added 13 points. Junior center Alyssa James, meanwhile, finished with seven points, 11 rebounds and six blocks. The Bearcats' last win in Orono was a 67-65 victory back on Feb. 16, 2013. 

- As a team, Binghamton ranks first in the America East and No. 27 in the nation with 5.3 blocks per game. The Bearcats also rank No. 40 in the nation with a +3.60 turnover margin and No. 46 with 7.6 three point field goals per game. Offensively, Binghamton is third in the conference with 63.2 points per game.

- Binghamton would clinch the No. 4 seed in the upcoming America East Tournament with a victory over the Black Bears. The Bearcats can finish anywhere from fourth to sixth in the conference standings.
