Bearcats Travel to New Hampshire Saturday

Bearcats look for conference win to clinch spot in AE post season

DURHAM, N.H. - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (6-9, 2-2 AE) will travel to New Hampshire (2-12, 2-3 AE) this Saturday, April 22 for their final road game of the 2017 season. The first draw is set for 12 p.m. start at Wildcat Stadium.

Binghamton currently sits in fourth place in the America East standings with just a pair of games remaining. In their previous outing, the Bearcats snapped a three game losing streak against UMass Lowell on senior day. Seven seniors were recognized for their hard work and commitment to the program over their careers. On a special day for the seniors, the underclassman were able to provide the Bearcats a much needed spark that got them back in the win column. Sophomore Rebecca Golderman scored two goals and recorded four assists against the River Hawks. Golderman is now tied for first in program history with 41 goals in a single season, with two games left to play the standout sophomore has a chance to rewrite Binghamton's record book. Junior Jacqueline Kennedy netted three goals of her own in the 12-6 win, bringing her season goal total to 28. Emma Jehle made eleven saves against UMass-Lowell and remains atop the conference goalkeeper ranks in saves per game (8.75).

The New Hampshire Wildcats (2-12, 2-3 AE) have won two of their four contests in April and lost a one-goal nailbiter to Albany in their last game. Both of their wins this season have come on the road as the Wildcats look to pick up their first home win of the season against the Bearcats. Junior attacker Krissy Schafer leads the Wildcats offense with 29 goals this season. Senior attacker Devon Croke is a solid secondary scorer for New Hampshire. Croke netted three goals in the last game at Albany and has 30 points so far in her senior campaign. In net for the Wildcats is junior Kate Clancy who is fourth in the conference in saves per game (7.40).

Binghamton is still searching for their first win against New Hampshire. The Wildcats defeated the Bearcats 9-8 (OT) last season in Vestal despite three goals from DeNapoli. After the loss a year ago Binghamton is now 0-15 all-time against New Hampshire.
